we journey through its history. Tranquil Rose offers you a choice
of relaxing cruises, whether on rivers or canals. We will cruise
each day, with stops for lunch and at
several places of special interest. Each night we find a peaceful
mooring spot in time for you to take a stroll before dinner. All
through the day, from breakfast, home-baked biscuits and coffee,
light lunch, home baked cakes and tea to the informal dinner, you
can be sure you will be well catered for. Whether you are young or
not so young, travelling alone or with a small group, you will
soon make firm friends with your fellow travellers and enjoy the
peace and tranquillity of being on board.
There is always enough to do on our cruises. The canal cruises are
more suited if you wish to walk the towpath or maybe help with the
locks, whereas the river cruises tend to offer more in the way of
historic places to visit. Both allow you to relax as much as you
wish and to see the countryside at its best. You could sketch or
photograph, study the wildlife and the architecture, or just sit
and relax as the countryside unfolds before your eyes. With our
knowledge of the waterways, we will ensure that you get the most
from the hotelboat holiday cruise by pointing out items that may be of interest.
All food is freshly prepared on board by our competent chefs, who
pride themselves on their creative and imaginative menus. If you
have any special dietary needs, we’ll be please to accommodate
them if you let us know at the time of booking.
Steve, as captain will act as your guide to make sure you get the
most from your hotelboat holiday. Steph as hostess will, with our attentive
crew, aim to delight you and provide you with a truly memorable
holiday. All our cruises start and finish close to a railway or
coach station, enabling guests to join us easily. Our moorings
will be at most a short taxi journey from public transport.
Joining instructions, which clearly show the location of the hotelboat,
will be sent to you in advance of your journey. This year we are
offering more choice and variety of cruises than ever before.
